I am back at San Diego since a week and a half ago. This is going to be my first post written in English in my blog, probably not too long. I am taking Computer Security this semester. I had a very good lecture yesterday night. My professor, a 35 year old man called Peter Bartoli, introduced us to what he was planning on teaching us and apparently this is going to be worth every class. I loved his style and the way he went over some basics of computers and security. He actually recommended taking a course about UNIX or Linux administration for those who didn’t have yet, which I did almost by chance my first year of major and I have never been more happy of any other decision I took after. It is amazing how Linux can open you mind and understanding of informatics, it makes you a lot more productive in so many different ways that when I get to use whatever Windows, I feel crippled.
 
Anyways, the point is that he said that we have to first know the road behind us that took us here, to be able to have a global understanding and context of why things happened and are happening. This is why my explanations of anything usually are so long and everybody falls asleep before I get to start
 
Today, I had a not so interesting Networks class in which we started learning how Internet started. Yes, you probably have heard of it before, but it can make you feel like dying if it becomes a 1 hour and a quarter lecture given at super slow speed, like in slow motion. I got home and I thought that I didn’t have listened very carefully, so I went on Youtube and found this video that explains it in an very easy interesting way, of course with less detail and chapter, I hope you like it.
